Timeless Kitchen Design in Wakefield

Project: Kitchen Collaboration with Drake Builders (AKA #ProjectDrakeBuildersKitchen)

This project was a special collaboration with Eric Savage of Drake Builders. Our clients came to us for help in redesigning their kitchen to optimize functionality for their busy family, and update the look-and-feel to a timeless design. We started by rearranging the layout and placement of the appliances to create more efficient and spacious workstations. By also eliminating a large peninsula, the new design accommodated a center island that the clients didn’t think could fit in their space!

In this #McGuireDesigned project, Drake Builders installed the cabinetry and we worked closely on all design details and other materials selections like countertops, tile and hardware. The end result is a fresh and timeless design with increased functionality and flow that allows the busy family of five to enjoy time together in their new kitchen.

With close attention to symmetry in the cabinetry design, the kitchen now feels traditionally appropriate to this Wakefield colonial home.

By reducing the depth of the base cabinetry to right of the pantry, we allowed for proper clearance behind the island seating, and the nook also serves as a great spot for entertaining.
