Not Your Grandmother’s Pink Kitchen

Project: Kitchen and Dining Room Remodel with Gray and White Cabinetry and a Beautiful Pop of Pink (AKA #ProjectPinkBacksplash)

This family had a wish list for their new kitchen, including removing a wall between the kitchen and dining area to open up the space, adding storage in the kitchen including a large pantry, and adding an island. Working from a single inspiration photo, our goal was to achieve a beautiful gray, white, and PINK kitchen!

In this project, we collaborated with local contractor Greenwood Carpentry as we designed the new kitchen, to ensure the construction scope of work and materials selections fit into the overall project budget. We sourced all cabinetry and materials for the homeowner and installed all of the kitchen cabinetry. Two-toned cabinetry was used with a darker color on the bases to ground the airy and light space. We brought the gray, white and pink vision to life, now a happy everyday retreat for this young family with three daughters under seven!

We added an island with seating to allow for informal eating and entertaining, and sliding glass doors out to the existing deck to bring in more natural light.

Rollout shelves for pots and pans storage, and a cutlery insert provide convenience for the family. Behind the scenes you’ll find a tall utility/broom closet, cookie tray organizers, and of course a concealed trash pullout!

Smoky Ash Gray finish on the cabinet hardware provides even more contrast throughout the space.

The finished space is open, airy, beautifully gray, white and pink throughout, accented with stainless steel and chrome fixtures. It’s a wonderful new spot for informal family hangouts! We truly enjoyed seeing this project come together for this amazing family!
